Research Assistant
Hannah Pickar is a Research Assistant at Public Profit. She is responsible for data management and analyses. She also provides administrative support for her projects, including scheduling, preparing materials for, and co-facilitating meetings and trainings.

Hannah works closely on a number of Public Profit’s evaluations, including:youth workforce development programs coordinated by the San Francisco Mayor’s Youth Jobs Plus initiative; an evaluation of Partnership for Children and Youth’s HousED initiative, which provides support and training for staff working at expanded learning programs in public and affordable housing communities throughout the Bay Area; an evaluation of SanMateo County Libraries’ Big Lift Inspiring Summers, which intends to support academic skill development through key elements of its curriculum; an evaluation of the Oakland Unified School District’sSummer Learning Programs,with the primary purpose to inform OUSD’s year-to-year summer planning;and a multi-state assessment of California Academy of Sciences’ Science Action Club program for middle school youth.

Prior to joining Public Profit, Hannah was a research and evaluation consultant for Clarus Research. Ms. Pickar earned her BA degree in Honors Psychology at Scripps College, and her MA degree in Positive Developmental Psychology and Program Evaluation at Claremont Graduate University. She regularly volunteers with youth programs, including the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a global network of camps serving children with serious medical conditions.
