Autumn Star (They/Them pronouns) serves as Youth Advocate at Oasis Youth Center in Tacoma, Washington. They provide direct crime victim advocacy resources for LGBTQ youth and design and implement community awareness-raising events that address root causes of racism, heterosexism, and homophobia. Autumn has a BA specialized in adolescent gender, racial, and sexual identity development and is passionate about empowering youth through youth-adult partnerships. Previously, Autumn functioned as a lead trainer with Conscience Studio, an organization providing experiential training's in the operating dynamics of building peaceful, conscientious lives and communities for adults and teens. They volunteered with the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network as a facilitator of training's for administration and staff on the topic of bullying and harassment towards LGBTQ youth in New York State’s Rochester City School District.
