Product Manager
Seattle, WA
Angela Fountas is a product manager for Committee for Children, a Seattle-based non-profit that advocates for, researches, and develops educational programs to advance the safety and well-being of children through social-emotional learning (SEL). She works with teams of educational designers and researchers to create research-based programs that help students manage their emotions, form healthy relationships, make good decisions, and cope with everyday social and academic challenges so that they’re better equipped to succeed in and out of school. Currently, Angela leads the Out-of-School Time (OST) team within the Second Step family of programs; this team is working closely with practitioners in OST settings to create a program that fosters positive relationships, cultivates safe and supportive environments, and teaches self-regulation and social skills in developmentally and culturally-appropriate ways. Angela has over 15 years of experience working in the field of SEL and with youth-serving organizations.
